Department’s Mandate

Supply Continuity

Ensure the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of quality-assured products to all healthcare centres (including JDWNRH) to meet clinical needs.

Strengthen procurement and distribution systems to improve efficiency, optimize resources, and eliminate service delivery delays.

Logistics Execution

Design and manage logistics plans to ensure the accurate, tracked, and timely delivery of the correct products to every healthcare centre.

Align all supply chain activities with national and international standards to maintain safety and legal integrity.

Implement robust monitoring systems to verify the safety, efficacy, and effectiveness of all medical products for patient safety.

Quantify and redistribute stocks based on clinical demand to prevent shortages and minimize wastage.

Quantification and Procurement Division

Coordinate with all healthcare centres and other stakeholders in preparation of annual indents for medical supplies;

Procure safe and quality medicines, equipment and medical consumables;

Ensure cost effectiveness, value for money and sustainability;
4
Minimize wastage and maximize benefit;
5
Ensure 95% availability of essential medicines in all healthcare centres;
6
Ensure 95% availability of standard consumables in all healthcare centres;
7
Facilitate Ad-hoc procurement of medical supplies during emergencies and for programs; and
8
Monitor and assess shortage of medicines in healthcare centres an facilitate mobilization.

Logistics Management Division

1
Receive medical supplies from suppliers;
2
Coordinate Quality Inspection (QI) in collaboration with stakeholders (end users, DBME and programs);
3
Prepare Good Receipt Note and maintain the inventory;
4
Sorting, repacking and distribution of medical supplies to healthcare centres as per the distribution plan;
5
Maintain buffer stock for emergency supplies (Only for medicines-V-30%, E-20% & N-10%);
6
Refilling and distribution of medical gas;
7
Coordinate disposal of expired medicines; and
8
Update stock status.
