Direct oversight of referral hospitals
NMS shall exercise direct oversight over Regional Referral Hospitals, Cluster Hospitals, and the Royal Centre for Infectious Diseases (RCID) to ensure quality, safety, and consistency of clinical services.

Clinical services & medical supply management
NMS shall manage clinical services along with the procurement and distribution of medical products across all health care centres, including Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH).

Mentoring & regional leadership
Regional Referral Hospitals shall provide mentoring and guidance to lead hospitals within their respective regions, strengthening service delivery and clinical leadership nationwide.
